The AI Voice Guide Builder is a short kit for writing the one page an AI assistant reads before it drafts anything for you, so the draft sounds like you and not like everyone else.
Who it is for
You run a business or work for yourself, and you use AI for emails, messages, posts or proposals. The drafts come back polite, padded and the same as everyone else's, so you rewrite most of them.
An AI model writes in the average voice of everything it has read. Unless you tell it how you write, that is what you get. Every draft in my own practice starts from a voice guide, and this is how I build one.
What is inside
- Twelve questions, about 15 minutes. Who you write to, whether you say "I" or "we", how you open and close, the words you never use, how you disagree with a client in writing, the true facts you may quote, and what must never be mentioned.
- The prompt. You paste it into any AI assistant with five things you wrote yourself. It reports your sentence rhythm, your openings and closings, the phrases you lean on and the things you never do, quoted from your own samples. It also lists every place where your answers disagree with what your samples show, and asks you which is right.
- The blank voice guide, in seven sections: who is speaking, my readers, how I sound, never, by channel, what I can claim, and before anything goes out. It is built to stay within two pages.
- The pre-send check. Five questions every draft has to pass.
- How to put it to work. Where to save the guide so your AI reads it first, the one line that starts a draft, and a test that tells you whether it is working.
- How to keep it alive, and the three mistakes that make a voice guide useless.
You need five things you wrote and were happy with, not edited by anyone else and not written by AI, and about 45 minutes.
What it replaces
- Typing "make it sound less like AI" into every chat.
- A list of adjectives. "Warm, professional, concise" tells an AI nothing. A banned phrase and a real sentence you wrote tell it what it needs.
- Rewriting the same parts of every draft. A correction you make twice goes into the guide once.
- Catching an invented result after it has gone out. The guide lists what is true and quotable, and the check asks whether every number is on that list.
What it is not
- It is not a voice handed to you. The guide describes how you already write. If your samples and your answers disagree, the samples win.
- It is not a prompt pack or a course. There is one prompt in it, and it has one job.
- It is not software. Nothing to install and nothing that renews.
- It does not check facts for you. It narrows what the AI may claim. You still read every draft before it leaves.

Which AI assistant does it work with?
Any of them. The guide is plain text. You save it wherever your assistant reads first: a project's instructions, a custom instruction, or a file it loads at the start.
What do I need to have ready?
Five things you wrote yourself and were happy with, such as emails, messages or posts, and about 45 minutes.
What if I do not like the way I write?
The guide works only if it matches what you really send. Build it from your real writing first. You can tighten it later, one line at a time, as you correct drafts.
How do I know it worked?
Ask for three drafts of a message you have already sent. If you can tell which one you wrote, tighten the "never" section and try again. That test is in the kit.
If the problem is bigger than a kit
The voice guide fixes how your drafts sound. It does not show you where the business is losing time and money. For that, book the Operations Leak Audit.
